FAQ
1. How do I know if my exercise goals are aligned with my needs and physical capabilities?
To align your goals, needs, and exercise capacity, you need to know your baseline metabolism, VO2 max, body composition, and strength. Our doctors match this information to the data provided by the Healthy Exercise Intake Form (HEIF) and design a step-by-step routine that aligns with your goals, needs, and exercise capabilities.
2. What does the exercise evaluation consist of?
You need to come fasting and wear exercise clothes. The testing process takes about two hours. Our professionals analyze your data and, during a 30-minute follow-up, review the findings and your exercise prescription in detail.
3. Do I need to fast?
Yes, for optimal results, you need to fast for ten hours before the evaluation.
4. What if I have active medical conditions?
Your complete medical history is reviewed in detail, and if deemed necessary by our professionals, a medical clearance may be requested before you undergo testing.
5. What is the best way to take advantage of My ExRx?
Once you have received your exercise prescription, the best way to optimize results is to schedule Healthy Exercise training sessions and gradually increase the parameters as tailored by our exercise physiologist.
6. Do I need to be tested again?
If you embrace your exercise prescription, your routine will gradually increase from beginner to intermediate to advanced levels. We recommend testing every six months. Once you reach an advanced level, we suggest testing once a year to monitor improvements in metabolic health, body composition, strength, and medical conditions.
